Richard shared the dedicated website he had prepared. It will go live when payments are effected from the general grant now received by Belmont Parish Council. - Housing Needs Assessment
- An update from the Teams meeting with Olivia Carr on 17 October, attended by Richard, Lesley and Patrick, was provided. The consultants expect a draft report will be presented before Christmas for comment and discussion. The final report should be available by late February/early March.
The report will cover four key areas:- Data on the NP area covering housing type, size and tenure as well as demographic information derived from 2021 census updated from discussion with DCC. The section will examine change since 2011 looking at under and over occupancy as well as future trends,
- Likely affordable housing needs taking into account owner occupier demand, the rental market and social housing
- Special needs housing covering the elderly, supported living, extra care provision and vulnerable individuals
- Student housing particularly the penetration of HMOs in residential areas
- Noted Richard is gathering data from the University covering where students are living and comparing this with approved HMOs in the NP area. To develop this further information about the number of properties in each postcode for the whole area is needed
- Olivia Carr confirmed that further technical support could be available in the future to develop policies on sites and allocations.

Some text was provided and this will be augmented with information from school websites. Patrick will be writing to all schools explaining the NP process, requesting descriptive input and any key issues, as well as offering to attend a meeting, possibly with governors, and discuss the NP - Retail.
Text was developed for the following areas: Carrville High Street; Cheveley Park; Blue House; Sunderland Road upper; Sunderland Road lower and Road Ends. Further work needed. - Pubs and Clubs. Patrick to provide text.
